**Your Opportunity**
We are looking to expand our Northern California archaeological team. This position can be based out of any of our Nor-Cal offices and will report to our On-Call Staff Supervisor in our Petaluma office. Work will take place throughout California, with potential opportunities in the Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. This is a fieldwork position and work need is heavily influenced by the seasonal weather. On occasion, there may be opportunity for office and/or lab-based work.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Participate in identifying and recording areas of archeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites.
+ Work closely with a Field Director/Supervisor to make technical recommendations for cultural resources management.
+ Collect field data
+ Participate in field reconnaissance surveys (linear and block type)
+ Assist in archaeological impact assessments
+ Excavations

**Education and Experience**
+ A Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required and minimum 1-year related experience, or an equivalent combination of education (e.g., advanced degree) and experience preferred.
+ Participation in an archaeological field school is seen as an asset.
+ Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

**Pay Range:**
- Locations in VT, & Various CA, NY Areas - Min Salary $ 51,000.00 - Max Salary $ 73,900.00
- Locations in CO, HI, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 56,100.00 - Max Salary $ 81,300.00
- Locations in WA, DC & Various CA areas - Min Salary $ 60,200.00 - Max Salary $ 87,200.00
- Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) - Min Salary $ 64,300.00 - Max Salary $ 93,100.00
**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
