Job Description

A vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm with over 115 attorneys seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its expanding Rochester office. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented litigator who wants to work across diverse practice areas and handle significant responsibility in a collegial, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Handle all phases of litigation, including:
Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery demands
Conducting legal research and analysis
Taking and defending depositions
Representing clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials
Manage litigation files and case strategy independently and as part of a team
Work directly with clients to advise on litigation matters and provide proactive counsel
Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts as experience grows

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in New York
5+ years of litigation experience in:
Drafting litigation documents (pleadings, motions, discovery)
Depositions
Court appearances and trial work
Experience preferred in:
Employment and labor law litigation
Business and commercial disputes
Real property litigation
Contract disputes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
Strong oral and written advocacy skills (writing sample required prior to interviews)
Comfortable working with senior management and across departments in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
Positive, collaborative, and professional demeanor
