The Crime Analyst I is assigned to the Missing Persons DNA Program (MPDP) and will independently analyze, evaluate and index information contained in reports of unidentified dead and missing persons and provide assistance and liaison support to local law enforcement agencies, coroners, and medical examiners to ensure that reports submitted to the department are complete and accurate. The Crime Analyst I provides program support to the staff at the laboratory to ensure that samples are properly delivered, updates information into appropriate data systems, maintains the filing system, and writes reports to document the activities of the MPDP. The Crime Analyst I also works with the Missing and Unidentified Persons (MUPS) Program to ensure that all their methods of identification are exhausted prior to DNA analysis being requested.Please let us know how you heard about our position by taking this brief survey:
