Job Description

Cabinetry Finisher – Team Lead

New Holland, PA

Are you detail-oriented, quality-driven, and ready to lead a small team while staying hands-on in producing beautiful, high-end finishes?

Why You'll Love Working With Us:

  • Craftsmanship at the Core  – Every piece we create is custom, high-end, and built to last. Your finishing work is the final, defining touch that makes it exceptional.
  • Lead & Create  – Guide a small team while staying close to the craft you love—hands-on, detailed, and driven by excellence.
  • Master Your Skills  – Learn advanced techniques through vendor-led training, peer collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Tools & Space to Excel  – Work in a clean, well-organized shop with a dedicated professional finish room, top-tier spray systems, and quality materials.
  • A Woodworker's Perk  – Use the shop after hours for your own woodworking projects.
  • Collaborative Team Culture  – Join a supportive crew that values clear communication, shared goals, and mutual respect.
  • Values That Matter  – Be part of a faith-based company committed to honor, integrity, and excellence in work and relationships.

Seven Trees Woodworking is a faith-based company that partners with general contractors and designers to create custom millwork and furniture of the highest quality. We believe in honoring our craft, growing our people, and working together as a team to pursue excellence. We build our culture on trust, craftsmanship, and a shared commitment to doing meaningful work with integrity.

What You'll Do As Cabinetry Finisher:

  • Lead the finishing department by setting priorities, managing workflow, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Mix, match, and apply stains, dyes, glazes, paints, and clear finishes to custom cabinetry and millwork.
  • Train and mentor team members in finishing techniques, safety practices, and efficient processes.
  • Inspect finished products, correct defects, and ensure all work meets client specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and care for all finishing equipment and spray booths.
  • Collaborate with production and project managers to stay on schedule and support team goals.
  • Apply lean practices and contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Work full-time: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM; Friday, 7:00 AM-12:00 PM (40–45 hours/week).

Our Ideal Cabinetry Finisher:

  • Experienced in the Craft: 3+ years of wood finishing or automotive painting/refinishing experience is preferred, and 2+ years of leadership experience is a plus. If you've worked in automotive refinishing, your skills with surface prep, spray equipment, and color matching translate well to our finishing process.
  • Self-starter: Takes initiative, stays organized, and keeps projects moving without constant oversight.
  • Positive Attitude: Brings a can-do mindset and encourages a productive, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Problem-solver: Approaches challenges with creativity and focus to deliver high-quality results.
  • Team Player: Willing to jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed and meet project deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy: Proficient in MS Word; experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Active: Able to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

What we offer our Cabinetry Finisher:

  • $25-$35/hour – depending on experience
  • Health Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid Holidays
  • Simple IRA with a 3% company match
  • Breakfast Outings
  • A supportive, faith-based team that values honor, growth, and excellence.
  • A company that invests in your development through hands-on leadership and training.
  • Strong community focus—proudly supports local outreach efforts.
  • A workplace where morale stays high, every contribution counts, and quality always comes first.
